Our Story

Hi, I'm Alexandra — founder of Boutique Kaotique. Welcome to my world.
I'm lucky enough to say I had quite a special upbringing. I grew up across four corners of the world — from Bali and Phuket to Geneva and Dubai. Not as a tourist, but as a child, absorbing the way different cultures dress, the patterns they reach for, the textile techniques passed down through generations that never make it onto the international stage. That early exposure shaped everything about how I see fashion and how I decorate my home.
Before BoKa, I worked in luxury fashion. I saw, up close, how the industry actually operates — the volume, the waste, the pace, the relentless production of things nobody asked for and not enough people truly wanted. The excess wasn't incidental. It was the model. I left because I couldn't reconcile what I was doing with what I believed, and because I thought there had to be a better way to do it.
What connects everything we make is the same sense of uniqueness — the idea that you can still own something that isn't mass-produced, that was made with real skill, and that carries a real story. BoKa exists for people who want exactly that.
With love, Alexandra
Our Commitment
Three concepts. One promise.
Whether it's a cause-led organic cotton tee, a limited edition piece by an emerging global designer, or a one-of-a-kind artisan homeware find — every BoKa piece is chosen and made with the same intention: nothing ordinary, nothing wasted, nothing mass-produced.
Concept 01
Emerging Artists
Organic cotton tees designed in collaboration with emerging artists around a cause they care about. Made to order only — printed after you buy, never before. 50% of proceeds split between the artist and their chosen charity.
Concept 02
Emerging Designers
Limited edition collections from international designers celebrated at home but not yet seen on the global stage — from Morocco, Indonesia, and beyond. London exclusives, produced in tiny runs. When it's gone, it's gone.
Concept 03
The Home Edit
One-of-a-kind vintage finds and made-to-order artisan homeware sourced directly from craftspeople worldwide. Every piece is chosen for its craft, its story, and its refusal to be ordinary. You won't find it anywhere else.
Why It Matters
Doing fashion differently
92M
tonnes of textile waste per year
The fashion industry produces 92 million tonnes of textile waste every year. Our model means BoKa produces near-zero surplus — tees are made to order, designer pieces are produced in tiny limited batches.
20K
litres of water per kg of fabric
Conventional cotton uses up to 20,000 litres of water to produce just 1kg of fabric. Organic cotton uses up to 91% less water and zero synthetic pesticides.
85%
of all textiles end up in landfill
85% of all textiles are sent to landfill or incinerated every year. Our made-to-order tees and small-batch designer runs structurally remove this from the equation — nothing is mass-produced that isn't wanted.
10%
of global carbon emissions
Fashion is responsible for 10% of global carbon emissions — more than aviation and shipping combined. Keeping production local and strictly on-demand cuts this significantly.
#2
polluter of clean water globally
Conventional textile dyeing is the world's second largest polluter of clean water. BoKa uses eco-friendly dyes on every single piece — no exceptions.
