Most lampshades are round. That's a practical choice, not a design one. This shade starts from a different premise entirely.

The square-tapered silhouette is the first thing you notice — four flat panels, crisp edges, a form that reads as architectural rather than generic. It suits a table lamp the way a well-cut jacket suits a room: it makes everything around it look more considered. The shape also does something particularly useful with block-printed fabric: it turns each panel into a distinct surface, framed and readable, like four pages of an illustrated book held open around a light source.

The print itself is hand-blocked onto 100% European linen — blue florals, soft stripes, and small, characterful bunnies that appear across the panels with the slightly irregular repeat that is the mark of genuine block printing rather than digital reproduction. No two shades are identical. The linen ground diffuses light warmly rather than sharply, which means the shade performs as well switched off as on: in daylight it reads as a textile object; in the evening it glows.
