Glass blowing is one of the few crafts where the material itself makes decisions. The glassblower introduces the colour, controls the breath, guides the form — but the precise moment where lemon yellow bleeds into aqua blue, where a streak of green appears between them, where silica and heat conspire to produce a curl or a swirl that wasn't planned: that belongs to the glass.

These tumblers are made by Mexican artisans using 100% recycled glass — discarded bottles collected, crushed, and melted in kilns at 1500°F, then mouth-blown into shape by hand. The two-tone colour matrix is introduced early in the molten process, which means the colours are not painted or applied: they are fused into the structure of the glass permanently. The lemon yellow flows from the top, transitioning through warm green into translucent aqua blue toward the base. Where the two colours meet, natural minerals in the recycled glass — silica, barium — produce the swirls and cosmic streaks that make each tumbler unrepeatable.

The form is a generous cylinder: thick-walled, hefty-based, with the subtly wavy surface and slightly imperfect rim that are the marks of genuine free-form hand blowing rather than mould production. At 550ml they hold a proper drink. In a group on a table they look like a collection of coloured light.
