Description

Made in the 1960s, by hands working with nothing but natural materials — a linen base, cotton embroidery thread, and the kind of patience that close handwork always requires. Six decades later, the stitching is still intact, the linen still holds its character, and the set is still complete.

Eight coasters, each one hand-embroidered, each one carrying the small, slightly imperfect variations that come from genuine handwork rather than anything mass-produced. They were made to be used — to sit under a cup, to protect a table, to do an ordinary job extraordinarily well — and they're just as ready for that now as they were the day they were finished.

A complete set of eight from this era, in good condition, isn't something that turns up often. It's the kind of object that makes morning coffee feel like a small occasion.

Please note: This is a one-of-a-kind vintage set. When it's gone, it's gone.
