There is a particular pleasure in a coffee set that makes the ritual feel considered. Not ceremonial — just considered. The right cups, the right weight in the hand, something worth looking at while the coffee cools slightly before you drink it.

This is a complete Yalos Murano glass coffee service: six cups, six saucers, and a milk jug, all in opal yellow glass with a soft iridescent quality that shifts between warm amber and cool lemon depending on the light source. In a dark room with a candle on the table, the glass appears to hold its own light. In daylight it glows. The finish is semi-matte rather than high-gloss — a frosted opalescence that gives the set a quietly sophisticated, almost 1990s art glass character that feels contemporary again.

The form is clean and purposeful: a straightforward cup with a circular ring handle, a wide flat saucer, a small-spouted milk jug with the same ring handle detail. No surplus decoration. The material is the design — the glass does all the work, and it does it very well.

Made by Yalos, a respected Murano glass house, in the 1990s. Excellent vintage condition throughout — no chips, no cracks. Thirteen pieces, all present and accounted for.
